For salons that sell colour, cuts and care
SEO for hair salons puts your colour work, stylists and treatments in front of people choosing a hairdresser nearby. Clients pick a stylist on photos, price and reviews. We build service and stylist pages and fill out your Google Business Profile, each with a path into your booking system. New clients can then book the right stylist.
Google’s AI Overview for “duplex bondi beach” named our client SHORE’s SOL duplex and linked its project page. See that answer.
Our work and thinking
We built the website for Vivid Hair & Beauty Studio in Capalaba. Its head spa, hair treatments and facials each have their own menu category. We built SHORE’s website and run its SEO. Our guide shows the Google AI Overview that linked SHORE’s duplex project page.

A client who moves suburb or loses a stylist starts searching again. They look at colour photos, read reviews and check what a cut or blonde costs. A salon site with one price list and an Instagram link gives them little to go on. We show each stylist’s work, explain your services and make booking simple.
Australians search “hair salon near me” and “hairdresser near me” about 135,000 times a month each. The top web results for those searches are often booking apps and review directories. Your chance sits in the map results, which show salons’ own Google profiles. We complete yours with the right category, services, real photos and your booking link. Our SEO services keep it current.
Colour often takes the most chair time on your menu. Monthly searches for balayage alone run at about 14,800. A colour client wants to see blondes and brunettes on hair like theirs before booking. We write pages for balayage, foils, colour correction and toning with your own photos. Each page explains the consultation and skin test your colourists ask for.
Colour and treatment prices change with length and thickness. A client who sees one low number and pays double at the front desk may not return. Under ACCC price display rules, a “from” price should be a total some clients really pay. We publish your from prices and say what moves the quote. Clients arrive expecting the right bill.
Many clients follow a person more than a salon. A stylist page shows their speciality and their own colour and cutting work. A link to their booking column turns a name search into an appointment. Junior and senior stylists can show different prices. When a stylist leaves, we send visitors from their page to a colleague with similar skills.
Your best transformations probably live on Instagram. Your website can show the service, price and booking link beside each one. Google’s image guidance says captions, image descriptions and nearby words help it understand a photo. We bring your strongest work onto service pages. Each caption names the service, the stylist and the suburb. People can then find that work from a Google search.
Treatment trends create new searches. “Head spa near me” went from about 3,600 searches a month in October 2024 to about 9,900 in March 2025. If you offer a head spa, scalp care or a smoothing treatment, it needs its own page. We list the duration, the price and what happens in the appointment. Clients searching for that treatment can book it with you.
SEO plan fit
For a single suburb, Suburb SEO costs $890/month + GST with no setup fee and runs month to month. Local SEO is $1,500/month + GST for one area of up to three suburbs. There is no setup fee. Every SEO plan is month to month, so you can cancel anytime. The SEO audit is free if you want a prioritised plan first. Implementation is separate unless you retain us.

AI search
A client might ask ChatGPT for a balayage specialist in Newtown who works late on Thursdays. Our AI search optimisation puts the stylist, the service and the late night together on your service and stylist pages. The page gives a client the details needed to choose a stylist and book.
Google’s AI Overviews lean on the text of pages it can show in Search. ChatGPT search and Perplexity cite the pages they read as they answer. Old directory listings with a former stylist or last year’s hours can creep into those answers. We tidy them so every source describes the salon you run today.
People ask AI tools what balayage or a keratin smoothing should cost. Your published from prices and the reasons a quote changes give those answers a source your team keeps current. They also prepare the client for a consultation with your colourist.
How we work
Tell us which services and stylists have room. Include colour, extensions and treatments you want to grow.
We look up your key services suburb by suburb, in Maps and in AI answers. You get a list of the salons that show instead.
We write service and stylist pages from your prices and photos. Your senior stylist checks the colour and treatment detail.
Each month we report phone calls, online bookings and enquiries by page. The busiest services decide the next page we write.
Good questions
Advertise the services and stylists people search for, where they search. Start with a full Google Business Profile and a page for each main service, such as balayage or extensions. Send every client a review link after the visit. Paid ads and social posts work better when they send people to those pages. Keep prices, hours and stylist names the same everywhere.
Set up your Google Business Profile and booking link before you open. A new salon has no reviews yet. Ask your first clients for honest reviews and reply to each one. Give each stylist a page so their existing clients can follow them. Then publish service pages for the colour and treatments you most want to fill.
Grow the services with good margins, regular rebookings and space in your diary. For many salons that means colour, extensions or a treatment such as a head spa. Give each a page with photos, from prices and a booking link. Suggest the next appointment in your booking confirmation. Then measure which pages bring new clients each month.
Show finished colour work, stylist introductions and the treatments clients ask about. Use your own photos, with each client’s permission. Name the service and link to its page so clients can check prices and book. Keep availability and opening hours current. A useful post gives someone a clear next step into the salon.
