In practice · SHORE, Sydney

Real work. Visible progress.

We built SHORE’s website and worked on its search presence, adding 17 service and suburb pages alongside technical and local SEO improvements. The Sydney design and construction practice gave us completed homes and specific local experience to build those pages around.

Its 5 October 2026 progress report compared two 28-day windows of Australian Google searches that did not use the SHORE name.

Google appearances in the later period

Australia, non-brand searches, website and Maps listing together. These are appearances, not visits or enquiries. This is overall Google visibility, not an AI-only result. Work began on 21 July 2026. Read the SHORE search example.

SHORE in a ChatGPT shortlist

On 9 October 2026, a logged-out ChatGPT answer named SHORE first for “who is the best custom home builder in the eastern suburbs”. An answer to the same question about two months earlier did not include SHORE.

The later answer describes SHORE’s design and build service and links to its website. These two answers show progress for one question; results vary by person, place and time.

The work behind visibility

Clear services. Useful answers.

For businesses with real experience to share and a website that needs to explain it better.

We work from Sydney with businesses across Australia. Your priorities, service area and existing website shape the scope.

  1. Make your pages accessible

We check indexing, preferred URLs, internal links and search crawler access. Your important service information needs to be available as readable page content, with structured data that matches it.

  2. Answer the buying questions

We improve service pages and create useful project, suburb and guide content within your plan. The content comes from what your business does, where you work and the experience you can show.

  3. Keep your business details consistent

We review your Google Business Profile and relevant listings for accurate services, operating areas and website links. Real project details and review reply drafts support the ongoing local work.

  4. Connect discovery to enquiries

We check the next step on priority pages and report on search visibility alongside identifiable visits and enquiries. That helps you judge whether the work is reaching the right customers.

How the platforms work

Good SEO. Useful information.

AI search needs clear information it can find and use. Google’s core SEO practices apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode, so we check whether your important pages can be indexed and shown in search before recommending new content.

For ChatGPT, we check access for OAI-SearchBot, its search crawler. Permission to use content for model training is a separate choice, handled through GPTBot.

Google requires no special AI schema and does not use llms.txt for Search. Your services, projects and business details are the material we focus on. Our AI SEO guide explains the technical checks.

From first review to ongoing work

Agree the priorities. Then build on them.

Start with an audit or an ongoing plan. We agree which pages need work, what you will supply and what each stage will deliver.

  1. Establish the starting point

Review your services, competitors, existing search data and a consistent set of customer questions. Keep the original answers and dates so later comparisons have a useful baseline.

  2. Agree a practical scope

Choose the service areas and pages that matter most. Set the deliverables, content responsibilities and reporting cadence using the existing SEO plan that fits the work.

  3. Improve the site and local presence

Complete the agreed technical fixes, page improvements and profile work. You supply business knowledge and approve factual claims about your services and projects.

  4. Review the results and next priorities

Repeat the questions, review platform data and check identifiable enquiries. Your written update explains what changed, what we completed and where the next round of work should focus.

AI search optimisation questions

What is AI search optimisation?

AI search optimisation improves the information search assistants can find about your business. It combines technical SEO, useful service and project pages, accurate business details and checks of the answers people receive. The aim is to help relevant customers discover and understand your business when using tools such as ChatGPT and Google AI search.

How is AI search optimisation different from SEO, GEO or AEO?

SEO covers visibility in search more broadly. GEO means generative engine optimisation and AEO means answer engine optimisation. These terms often describe overlapping work on AI answers. Our SEO plans combine that work with your website's technical foundations, local presence and content, so the same pages support customers across search experiences.

Can you guarantee a ChatGPT recommendation or Google AI citation?

No. Each platform chooses its answers and sources. We agree the pages and technical work, then track the same customer questions over time so you can see where your business appears and what needs improving.

Do I need a new website?

Often the useful starting point is the site you already have. We check whether we can improve its content, crawling, internal links and enquiry path. If the platform prevents essential changes, we explain the constraint and quote the website work separately before you decide.

How long does AI search optimisation take?

We start by reviewing your website and search presence, then agree delivery dates for the priority pages and fixes. Search engines need time to process the changes. Ongoing reporting shows where you are appearing, which pages attract visitors and what to work on next.

What do you need from us to get started?

Send your website, the services and areas you want to grow and the questions customers ask before enquiring. We will discuss your completed work and arrange access to the website, Search Console, analytics and relevant business profiles through account invitations.
