For gyms, studios and independent trainers
SEO for gyms and personal trainers helps nearby people pick you when they look for a gym, a class or a trainer. We make the details they compare clear: total membership cost, contract terms, class times, staffed hours and each trainer’s qualifications. Your website and Google listing then agree on every one.
Google’s AI Overview for “duplex bondi beach” featured SOL, a duplex by our client SHORE. It linked SHORE’s project page. Read the full example.
Our work and thinking
We built SHORE’s website and run its SEO. In that guide you can open the SOL project page Google used and compare SHORE’s non-brand Google appearances across two four-week windows.

Someone choosing a gym usually has three tabs open and wants the real monthly cost. The gym that answers plainly often gets the trial booking. We begin our SEO services with cost, contract and timetable. Trainers and classes come next.
A weekly fee with the joining fee hidden in fine print loses people at the front desk. We put the weekly fee, joining fee, minimum term and cancellation steps on one page. Queensland’s fitness code requires a written agreement with fee details and a 48-hour cooling-off period. We explain those terms in plain words before anyone signs.
A person looking for beginner boxing needs the level and timetable before booking. We write a page for each class type with times, level, instructor and how to book a first session. Your Google profile gets matching categories, such as Gym, Boxing gym or Pilates studio. A beginner can then find the class that suits them.
Better Health Victoria tells people to check a trainer’s registration with AUSactive and ask for first aid certification. We publish each trainer’s qualifications, registration status and specialties on their profile. Someone looking for help as an older beginner or during pregnancy can see who has the relevant training. The check takes seconds instead of a phone call.
Unlike health clinics under Ahpra’s rules, fitness businesses can publish genuine member reviews. The ACCC says fake or misleading reviews and testimonials break consumer law. Australia’s advertising code also rules out body images that cannot be reached through healthy practices. We use real stories with consent, show the time involved and avoid edited before and after photos.
A trainer who visits clients at home or in parks can use a Google service-area profile. Google says those businesses get one profile with a set service area. A trainer working inside someone else’s gym needs to be reachable there during stated hours to hold their own listing. We set up the profile that fits how you actually train.
A 24-hour gym is rarely staffed for 24 hours. People searching late want to know if they can get in and whether anyone will be there. We show access hours, staffed hours and class times separately on your website and Google profile. Public holiday changes go up before the day, so members are not caught out.

AI search
A new member could ask ChatGPT to find a women’s gym in Newtown with childcare and no lock-in contract. Each condition in that question comes from details your website either states or leaves out. Our AI search optimisation puts contract terms, facilities and class times where AI tools can read them.
We check Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT search and Perplexity against your current membership page. A gym page that lists the full price, contract length and facilities lets people compare you properly. A page that only says no lock-in contract without the terms leaves the answer incomplete.
We track the questions your members ask these tools each month and save the answers. When one gets your hours or prices wrong, we find the page or listing it used and fix it. Trainers are checked the same way, by name and specialty.
How we work
Tell us which classes, trainers or times have room. Those become the first pages and posts.
We compare your website, Google profile and sign-up form for cost, contract and hours. Anything that disagrees is fixed first.
Each trainer approves their qualifications, specialties and photos before their profile goes live.
You share trial bookings and memberships started each month. We find the step where interested people stop and fix it next.
Good questions
Start with a Google profile that matches how you train, either at a gym or as a mobile trainer. Add a website page for each service with prices and session lengths. Show your qualifications and registration so people can check them. Ask real clients for reviews. Keep results claims honest and avoid edited before and after photos.
Make your total cost, contract terms and class timetable easy to find first. Give each class type its own page and match your Google categories to what you offer. Ask members for genuine reviews and reply to them. Then make booking a first visit quick on a phone, with the trial terms beside the button.
It depends on what the fee includes. Four one-hour sessions, a program and check-ins between sessions is a different offer from four short group sessions. People weigh what they get for the money. That is why your website should spell out sessions, length, group size and extras. A clear page lets the right clients decide quickly.
ChatGPT can draft text, suggest keywords and look up public business information when search is on. Your team still needs to confirm current prices, hours and class capacity. We check your published details against your booking system and test the search answers members see. That keeps the writing tied to sessions you can actually run.
